| Environmental Policy |

| As part of our upgraded ISO14001:2004 environmental management program, we have also established the following environmental policy that covers the environmental impact of our manufacturing operations including the environmental load of our raw materials and final products. |

Our environmental program ENV001 for procuring environment-friendly materials and services was implemented as part of our effort to ensure that all suppliers of Sumitomo are aware of our environmental concern and to encourage them to participate actively with us in our continuous effort to be part of the growing community of environmentally conscious citizen of planet Earth.
